Potential Impact

The study findings and outputs aim to improve the health and wellbeing of older adults and improve NHS efficiency and interagency working through:

  • Increased understanding of factors influencing older people keeping warm at home, and ways to overcoming barriers to keeping warm
  • Social marketing interventions i.e.
  • Brief intervention training materials for health and social care staff.
  • A risk assessment and referral tool
  • The insight required for PCTs to commission a social marketing public campaign.
  • The intention is that study outputs will be suitable for application across relevant health and social care sectors.
